There is nothing like a brisk spring morning for a walk in the woods to look at badger tracks and rabbit holes, even if the wind is blowing hard enough to buffet you back home again afterwards.
A sunny spring morning is also good for going to a garden centre, to see all the little plants lined up like sweets with their jewel drop flowers sparkling confusingly, making it almost impossible to choose.
If the garden centre has bunnies this is even better for Ia and U, especially when the bunnies are fluffy and young, big brown eyes in a bundle of fluff. The fish can be interesting too, and the birds, even the hamsters. Frogspawn should also be seen, even if it doesn't do much, because at least you know that it is there. Just like it is interesting to know that a macaw can really sometimes say "hello", it's not only in stories.
A sprinkling of variety is like hundreds and thousands on a cup cake, it just tops things off.
